Serving boards versus cutting boards

The boards on this page are designed for presentation: thinner, more decorative profiles, herringbone or pebble shapes, and finishes that look good on a table. They can handle light slicing, but for daily chopping a thicker cutting and serving board will last longer.

Sizes and sets

Pebble-shaped acacia boards come in several sizes and as a set of three that nests together, which is a good format for a corporate gift because it looks generous without much weight. Round and rectangular mango wood boards suit restaurants and catering. Sizes are listed on each product page.

Logo placement

Most serving boards are laser engraved in one corner or near the handle so the logo stays visible when the board is loaded with food. Dark woods like mango and acacia give a subtle, tone-on-tone engraving. If you need higher contrast, a bamboo board from bamboo cheese boards is the better choice.

Ordering branded serving boards

Restaurants, wineries and caterers often order serving boards with their logo for use in service rather than as gifts. In that case durability matters more than packaging: ask us about bulk packing, and plan on oiling the boards before first use.
